Wheatfield Chamber meetings are the first Thursday of each Month at 6:00 p.m.

Sandhill Festival and Car Show will be held September 15, 2012. More information and updated forms will be posted soon, till then the old forms may be used.

Garden Walk - June 16, 2012 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm

Several area gardeners have agreed to allow guests onto their property to look at the beautiful vegetation. This includes: Jerry Mulberink, The Wireman Estates, The Hamstras (Wilbert & Peggy), and Dianne Cochran. Tickets may be purchased at Bierma Hardware, InStiches, First Trust Credit Union, Wheatfield Town Hall & Boersma Funeral Home at a price of $8.00 each person or 2 for $15.00. You must have a ticket in order to be allowed on the grounds on June 16, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. There will be a Sandhill Crane at each driveway marking the entrance to the property and a table that you MUST present your ticket to gain entrance. Dianne Cochran will be selling tickets at her location in Rustling Oaks the day of the walk. She will also have plants for sale and landscaped garden with 100+ container potted plants. Wilbert & Peggy built their home in 1962 amongst the cornfields. They love finding unusual plants. The Wireman Family is a multi-family residential/business with numerous varieties of hostas in many shades of green and blue. There are rolling hills and winding pathways that create a picturesque shady garden effect. Jerry Mulberlink has been a horticulturist for the Chicago Park District and has a history of Topiary work. He has been gardening since the age of 14. Please come out and enjoy a late morning and afternoon of strolling through these gardens. You just might get an idea of something to try in your garden!

Community Garden to be at the west end of town again. Please contact Don Gear for more information.

The Wheatfield Chamber of Commerce is setting up a community garden at the far west end of town. Some people have already marked their space and begun to plant many different types of vegetables. All are invited to participate. Contact Don Gear at 956- 3534 if you would like information and some space!

The 4th Friday of each month at the Wheatfield Town Hall there will be a Bluegrass Jam.

Meetings:

Wheatfield Chamber meetings are held at the new Wheatfield Town Municipal Building (the old library building). The time for the meetings is 6:00 p.m. The meeting takes place on the first Thursday of the month.

Supper is offered for a small fee ($5.00).
